Immediately upon his return, the son has already been justified and given everything he needs to represent the father’s house. He has the robe of righteousness, the ring of identity and authority, the sandals of peace, and a celebration of the relationship. He has found rest—a restored identity, intimacy, inheritance, and destiny—and has become a resting place for the Dove.
