The hypothesis, which became a pillar of the HPCSA’s case against him, is the platform on which drug companies built the multibillion-dollar statin industry. Statins are cholesterol-lowering drugs. They are also the world’s most prescribed drugs. It’s an understatement to say that Noakes is no fan of statins.
