All the Angels have impeccable scientific pedigrees. Harcombe is a Cambridge University graduate in mathematics and economics. She has spent years researching nutrition. Her doctoral thesis, on the evidence for the introduction of dietary fat recommendations in the US and the UK in 1977 and 1983 respectively, earned her a letter of commendation as well as a PhD.
