Fortunately, there is another side to our mental capacity – a side that derives contentment from being. This is the part of the brain that we access through mindfulness. It is the part that is in touch with our sensory experience and it is able to accept the ebb and flow of life’s fortunes with interest rather than judgment.
Making meditation part of your routine helps to ensure that you spend part of each day in deeper observation and awareness.
When you accept this you begin to access a new level of mental freedom.
You are so much more than your thoughts, so don’t be frustrated or disappointed that you can’t always think your way past problems.
