It was now or never. "I'm sorry," I whispered. Selena raised her eyebrows in confusion. "Sorry? What are you talking about?" I activated the stasis field. It sprang up around her, the glow not quite so bright in the lighted hallway as it had been when I was fighting Fialux at night. I looked back up at her and a huge grin split my face.
