Nobody likes to feel vulnerable. In fact, much of Western society has been built in such a way that we never have to face our need for others, and our connection to the rest of creation. We have taken elaborate efforts to create a world where we can feel like a god. Our food and clothing do not come from the land and animals, they seem to come from a package in the store.
