This is how every Master teaches his disciples. With reflexive muscle memory, the Master simply crafts, tends, keeps, or nurtures; smoothly, intently, without hesitation or fear. The Master knows the terrain. Jesus knew the world that often struck fear into the disciples. Breathless they would stand beside Jesus, even while Jesus stepped confidently into the broken world around him. In the same way that a master-beekeeper doesn’t even consider the stings and venom, Jesus saw beyond the invective of his enemies.
