“People can be cruel. People hate what they don’t understand.”
Not everyone who walks around on two legs is good and decent. Not everyone who walks on two legs knows how to use their intelligence.
Words exist only in theory. And then one ordinary day you run into a word that exists only in theory. And you meet it face to face. And then that word becomes someone you know. That word becomes someone you hate. And you take that word with you wherever you go. And you can’t pretend it isn’t there.

Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to rank the people in your life. That’s not how the heart worked. The heart didn’t make lists.
Highways are nice and paved, and they have signs telling you which way to go. Life isn’t like that at all. There are days when great things happen and everything is beautiful and perfect, and then, just like that, everything can go straight to hell.

we had to see people because sometimes the world made us invisible. So we had to make each other visible.
Sometimes things just don’t translate. Maybe that’s why there were so many misunderstandings in the world. On the other hand, if everybody spoke only one language, the world would be a pretty sad place.
Life had its seasons, and the season of letting go would always come, but there was something very beautiful in that, in the letting go.
