All I kept thinking about was that scene from Dirty Dancing where Baby was trying to act cool and impress Johnny and went to that party and blurted out, “I carried a watermelon!” and then beat herself up afterward for saying something so stupid. That was how I felt. It was my “I carried a watermelon” moment.
