We are products of our past, but we don’t have to be prisoners of it. God’s purpose is not limited by your past.
Yet, what ultimately matters most will not be what others say about your life but what God says.
“It ought to be the business of every day to prepare for our final day.”
We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are. ANAÏS NIN
We’re not completely happy here because we’re not supposed to be! Earth is not our final home; we were created for something much better.
Trusting God completely means having faith that he knows what is best for your life.
“We please God by what we do and not only by what we believe.”
“You have no right to argue with your Creator. You are merely a clay pot shaped by a potter. The clay doesn’t ask, ‘Why did you make me this way?’
He knows you are incapable of being perfect or sinless. The Bible says, “He certainly knows what we are made of. He bears in mind that we are dust.”
Another aspect of a fully surrendered life is trust.
You know you’re surrendered to God when you rely on God to work things out instead of trying to manipulate others, force your agenda, and control the situation. You let go and let God work. You don’t have to always be “in charge.” The Bible says, “Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for him.” 13 Instead of trying harder, you trust more. You also know you’re surrendered when you don’t react to criticism and rush to defend yourself. Surrendered hearts show up best in relationships.
