Univocist approaches to thinking and speaking about God necessarily conceive of God’s being as existing (in some respect) within the same order of being as that of creatures and thus as existentially correlative to them. A God who can be moved or affected by His creatures, even if only in accord with His choice to be so moved or affected, is such a God.
