Rather, with respect to our BaZi practice, the calendar “begins” with LiChun 立春 (the beginning of spring). LiChun, or the exact moment that the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 315°, typically occurs on 4 or 5 February each year by the Gregorian (solar) calendar.1
