While Christians are not killed in many countries that marginalize Christians, there isn’t a country in the world that kills Christians that didn’t begin by marginalizing them.
Once Christians are legally marginalized, they become isolated from broader society. This kind of cultural exclusion often leads to more negative perception of Christians within the culture, and eventually that can lead to violence as well. When people in power discriminate against the vulnerable—and get away with it—then others will be emboldened to follow suit.
