When there is no clear prophetic vision, h people quickly wander astray. i But when you follow the revelation of the word, heaven’s bliss fills your soul.
and healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people.
“Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door. f
If you, imperfect as you are, g know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts h to those who ask him?”
20 Look at the obvious fruit of their lives and ministries, and then you’ll know whether they are true or false.”
On the day of judgment many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, don’t you remember us? Didn’t we prophesy j in your name? Didn’t we cast out demons and do many miracles for the sake of your name?’ 23 But I will have to say to them, ‘Go away from me, you lawless rebels! I’ve never been joined to you!’ k
22 For the very glory you have given to me I have given them so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that we enjoy.
30 Having determined our destiny ahead of time, he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called. And those who possess his perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his Son!
surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. 2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, a but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.
17 I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation u to know him through your deepening intimacy with him. 18 I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, v flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling w—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!
instead be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. g
11 Put on God’s complete set of armor j provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser!
12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. l For they are a powerful class of demon-gods m and evil spirits that hold n this dark world in bondage. 13 Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, o for you are destined for all things p and will rise victorious.
16 Let joy be your continual feast. j17 Make your life a prayer. 18 And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. k 19 Never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit. 20 And don’t be one who scorns prophecies, l 21 but be faithful to examine them by putting them to the test, and afterward hold tightly to what has proven to be right. m 22 Avoid every appearance of evil.
24 Discover creative ways to encourage others m and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. 25 This is not the time to pull away and neglect n meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing, because we need each other! In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.
May the kindness of God’s grace and peace overflow to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come,
