“I had been traumatized” is never a valid excuse for murder, or any other crime. Neither is “My ancestors were traumatized.” These statements are calls to heal, not to cause harm. Your white body was not something you chose. But the imaginary construct of whiteness is something you can change. Simply because you have a white body, you automatically benefit from white-body supremacy, whether you want to or not.
