A perfect envelope. I made a stamp the size of a doormat and put it on the envelope upside down. (Guys, you know that means “I love you,” right? If not, back to finishing school for you.) Inside, I took another four-foot-by-eight-foot piece of cardboard and wrote, “Maria, will you be my Valentine?” Simple. Straightforward. Not too hard to spell.
