I’ve been returned to my factory settings as a human being, rather than a human doing.

The can makes a psst noise when I open it with my fingernail, as though it wants to tell me a secret.

I can hear this

tread carefully over a carpet of lies, trying not to disturb them.

People think that good and bad are opposites but they’re wrong, they’re just a mirror image of each other in broken glass.
