Somebody — we still don’t know who — had clearly told Rahul that no matter what the question was, he was to repeat what the UPA had done for women’s rights and for freedom of information. The interview was, eventually, almost painful to watch — like a car crash in slow motion. It finished off Rahul’s campaign — at least in the eyes of educated Indians — even before it could begin.
