Everyone knows that academics are the most ruthless cutthroats around.

One: the dead will take everything you love. You have to end them before they can end you. That’s exactly what I aim to do. And two: the person poking the dead ain’t always the one paying for it. In fact, most times, it’s the ones minding their own business who suffer. That’s a problem I still don’t have an answer for yet.

Momma used to say that a politician was a man that had perfected the art of lying,

It’s a cruel, cruel world. And the people are the worst part.

With a fool’s pride comes disgrace.

I am a knot of rage and violence,

I know I am more than my skin color.

There’s nothing white folks hate more than realizing they accidentally treated a Negro like a person.

Panic digs its broken fingernails into my soul.

It seems strange that in these very fraught times folks would be more concerned about hardworking people trying to find a better life than the monsters that actually want to eat them.
