I took him over to the wind tunnel to show him the model of the 1994 car and he was straight into the minutiae, down on his hands and knees, looking under the diffuser, listening closely as I pointed out key features. He wasn’t an engineer, but he wanted to absorb as much as he could about the design and philosophy of the car.
