He was my strength when I needed him to be, my friend when I needed someone to talk me down, my equal in a world where by law I would always be less than him, and honest to gods, he was the love of my life.
I totally had an anger management problem, but I had never snapped like that. Throwing apples was one thing. Shooting people in the head was taking it to a whole new level.
I’d hallucinated Ares and pulled a gun on Aiden…while I was buck-ass naked. Talk about an awkward mood killer.
I figured if I ended up putting my shirt on backwards, I could blame it on my lunacy. Going crazy had to have some benefits, right? Maybe I’d just go fully crazy.
No one else in this world was more off their rocker than an Olympian god.
Seth was like the king of vague and unhelpful responses, worse than a god most of the time.
“Your personality disorder is starting to show.”
The sun rises and sets out of Aiden’s ass, according to you.”
I clung to him like a deranged baby monkey, soaking in his warmth and the absolute feel of him. There was a lot we needed to talk about, but this hug? Gods, I needed this hug.

but the gods’ hotness didn’t compensate for their overall creepiness and deranged thought processes.
Ares can rip the mortal world apart, but if you betray us, we will take the time to track you down, and I will spend eternity getting my jollies off on your suffering.” “Poor Persephone.” Perses stared down his nose at the god. “It must be hard on her if that’s what gets you off.”
“Vegas,” Perses’ deep voice rumbled. “It’s like an Olympian playground?”
“This is everyone’s fight,” he corrected. “Because it’s everyone’s future.”
“I’m not your weakness.”
“I prefer my hands in battle. It means more.”
His punches were faster than the eye could track. Rock ‘em, sock ‘em Titan.
DYING THE SECOND TIME WAS NOTHING LIKE THE FIRST TIME.
The first things I saw upon dying were Persephone’s breasts and nipples. Or at least one nipple, but there was definitely a nipple.
