Trained as an actress in college, I had, over time, explored many variations on this theme, including an on-air drive-time personality for an FM country station and writing and producing original music, commercials, video, and ad campaigns, which kept my maternal instincts at bay. But by the time Harvey and I met and soon married, those maternal instincts began to gush forth, causing me to stockpile baby wipes and sippy cups in the back of my closet.
