GEORGE PELECANOS (WRITER/PRODUCER): I think that’s not only the best thing I wrote for The Wire, but it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever written, including in my novels. That comes from being on the show for three years at that point and sort of knowing everything intimately, including the actors, and as good as it is on the page, it’s dead.
