I’ve used it on a lot of people. I used it on Chris Albrecht when I was trying to get him to renew the show. I said, “One day, you’re going to be in a bar and you are going to tell people you were the guy who renewed The Wire when nobody was watching it, season after season, and the guy’s going to say, ‘That’s really great, sir, but it’s two a.m. You’ve got to finish your drink, get out, and go home.’ ”
