First it is fresh and new, arousing excitement. This is the Krita Yuga, the childhood innocence. Then comes the time, when it keeps its promise. When all is well. When hopes are high. This is the Treta Yuga, when Rama rules, when rules are valued. Then comes the period of decay, when survival is at stake, when the idea struggles to survive.
