American civilization is especially connected, as it was founded by the Puritans to be an Israel of the New World.
They began driving God out of their public squares, out of their government, out of the instruction of their children, out of their culture, and out of their lives.
Baal was the most prominent god of the Canaanite pantheon.
In the first attack sexuality was divorced from marriage. In the second it was removed from gender, biology, and nature.
biblical chronicle would sum up the depth of the nation’s depravity in just one verse: “And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire . . . ”2
The nation, culture, and civilization that had been established on the Word of God and dedicated to the ways of God will begin to depart from the God of its foundation. The departure will begin subtly at first, but as time goes on, it will become more and more blatant and brazen.
As the nation and civilization turns away from God, it will turn to idolatry to fill the void. It will deify the material world. Thus it will grow increasingly materialistic and increasingly obsessed with the sensual.
Paralleling its progressive descent into idolatry will be an increasing movement toward moral relativism—the discarding of absolute truth. Out of this will come the redefining of truth, reality, and values. A “new morality” will be introduced that will overrule the values and ways of God and the biblical moral grounding that had long served as its foundation.
As the apostasy continues, the culture will begin progressively driving God out of its public square, out of its government, out of its public discourse, out of the education of its children—out of life.
When a culture or life gives itself to the spirit of increase, gain, profit, materialism, prosperity, and self-interest above all things—it has given itself to Baal.
As the metamorphosis progresses, the culture will turn increasingly coarse, base, harsh, and crude. More and more it will be marked and permeated
by vulgarity, profanity, and debasement.
As the civilization turns away from God and the sanctity of life is lost, it will embrace and commit the darkest of acts, the destruction of its most innocent, the killing of its children.
As the apostasy progresses, the killing of children will move from an act performed in secret and against the law to a practice endorsed from the highest echelons of society and legalized by those in power.
The murder of the innocent will now be championed as an unquestionable right, a sacred right, even a sacred act—a sacrament.
Bill Clinton would become the first president in American history to be exposed while in office for committing adultery in the White House.
Clinton’s first executive orders as president empowered the practice of abortion in America and around the world.
So his daughter became a Phoenician princess. He gave her the name Izevel. We know her as Jezebel.
Rather it was the idea that truth was absolute or that it could be contained in the revelation of a single faith that she found abhorrent.
If Bill Clinton is the Ahab of the modern apostasy, then the modern antitype to the ancient queen must be Hillary Clinton.
“While Bill talked about social change, I embodied it.”4
Jezebel would become the power behind the throne.
Clintons was unlike any other America had ever seen. Hillary Clinton would not be content to be known as Bill Clinton’s wife or to play a traditional supporting role. She would co-lead the country with her husband.
The king and queen will champion the most horrific forms of child killing.
Bill Clinton would become the first president in American history to dedicate an entire month to the celebration of homosexuality.
The queen’s personality will appear much harsher than that of her husband. She will strike many as iron-willed, unyielding, and embittered. She will be the one more apt to react to their opponents with fury. And to many she will appear consumed with ambition for power.
Jezebel herself has been called “the Lady Macbeth of Hebrew history.”14
Arabic she was known as Athtar. In Babylon and Assyria she was called Ishtar. Later the Greeks would adopt her as Aphrodite, and the Romans, as Venus.
Astarte was also known by the name Kedashah, the same word used to refer to a temple prostitute.

So Obama would display the same pattern.
Thus he made an outward display of biblical morality and invoked the name of
God in his denial.
Obama would continually oppose biblical standards and values and the underlying moral presuppositions of Western civilization
Obama would leave America less Christian than he found it—culturally, morally, and statistically.
What Bill Clinton had begun Obama had completed. His presidency would be instrumental in moving America even more decisively away from its biblical foundation.
His closing words of “God bless you” to the abortion organization left several commentators wondering which God it was who blesses those who kill and dismember unborn children.11 There was one. His name was Baal.

The queen will not only encourage the practice that involves the sacrifice of children; she will seek to compel the nation’s participation in it.

“Can God use those who have not served, followed, or known Him for the outworking of His purposes?” He can. And in the case of Jehu, he did. So

The warning of the paradigm is that as king the warrior will not be careful to follow the ways of God—that his reformation will be partial and selective, that he will oppose some aspects of the nation’s apostasy but continue in others.
The hope for the days in which the warrior reigns will be that they will not only slow the nation’s descent but also that they will provide the chance for a massive spiritual and cultural returning to God. Apart from such a return the nation’s overall course of apostasy and descent will continue.
