They began driving God out of their public squares, out of their government, out of the instruction of their children, out of their culture, and out of their lives. They expunged His Word from their public discourse and His law from their collective consciousness. And by driving God out, they created a vacuum. Into that vacuum they brought in still more gods. Their lives were now permeated with idols and increasingly carnal, materialistic, and fragmented. And their civilization was now at war against the foundation on which it stood.
The new morality was invariably anti-biblical and anti-Christian and was in reality a revived version of ancient paganism. It overruled the ways and standards of God and recast them as outdated and restrictive.
It has become the party linked to the killing of the unborn and the overturning of biblical values. It has become the party that has in too many cases championed the American apostasy. And so as
To the same degree that a civilization calls what is evil good, it will call what is good evil. To the same degree that it hallows the profane, it will profane the holy. And to the same degree it legitimizes unrighteousness, it will delegitimize the righteous.
As the culture accepts what it had once known to be sin, it will begin to reject what it had once known as righteousness. It will cease to reverence it. It will then only tolerate it, then marginalize it, then vilify it, then criminalize it, and then persecute
