childlike faith is probably far messier than I have thought it to be.
Maybe what God really wants are grown-up kids who dance in the puddles, who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, who dare to ask why a whole lot.
A full life and life to the full are two very different things.
One is about grasping, the other is about receiving. One is about cramming in, the other is about room to breathe. One is about striving, the other is about trust. One is about control, the other is about letting go—sometimes for a moment and sometimes for always.
Who do I think I am? Who do you think you are? We are the image bearers of a star-scattering, water-walking, miracle-making God. We have every right to wield with force and holy wildness all he has placed within us.
It would make no sense to become more enamored with my wedding ring than with my husband. But I have done this with what God has placed in my hands.
Every moment is a never-before miracle, and it’s up to me to have eyes to see it that way.
