You needed to pick yourself right back up, even if you were bruised and hurt and just wanted to lie on the ground and stay there forever because it wasn’t as uncomfortable as you thought it’d be. Or because you were scared of falling again as you tried to pick yourself back up.

I’d always been the one who listened and tried to make everyone happy. Until now.

Everyone needs something to look forward to. You don’t have to live your life anticipating the future or dreading it, but you can have these little things you look forward to every day.
