even though we often find ourselves wrapped up in feelings of jealousy and comparison, that’s not the way we want to feel.
if we do the work of rewiring our thought patterns, shifting our mind-sets, and truly practicing Girl Code, we can become happier and more su...

nothing will change until you change your mind-set, until you believe that you can and will become successful, until you eliminate your negative thoughts, until you learn to say “no” to the things that do not serve you, and until you surround yourself with positive, empowering women who are truly walking their walk.
I’ve been the girl who gossiped about another, and I’ve been the girl who has been gossiped about. And guess what? It’s miserable both ways.
why do women keep falling victim to the trap of jealousy, comparison, negativity, and cattiness? Why hasn’t everyone discovered just how fabulous life can be when we empower each other rather than tear each other down?
No matter what our backgrounds were, we all shared the same fears and the same desires.
I know what it’s like to blaze your own trail and pursue your passions. I know what it’s like to be questioned by others who don’t understand why you’d ever want to take such a “risky” path. I know what it’s like to not have a roadmap to success. I know what it’s like to feel alone.
I also know what it’s like to find those few people who do get it. To find the people who are willing to share their secrets, open a door for you, or sometimes just have a glass of wine—or three—with you and listen.
Girl Code is geared toward female entrepreneurs, professional women, “side hustlers” (those with a day job who are building a business on the side), and anyone in between who wants to become a better woman.
This book will not teach you how to build a multimillion-dollar business or climb the corporate ladder. It won’t teach you about systems or operational processes.
it will teach you how to build confidence in yourself, reconnect with your “why,” eradicate jealousy, and ultimate...

If I’ve learned anything through this thing called life (points if you get the Prince reference!), it’s that we are better together.
If you’ve ever found yourself searching for more meaning, more love, and more possibility in both your life and in your business, then hold on tight, sister. We’re going to find it. Together.
There are absolutely no limits on what you can achieve. Your possibilities are truly endless, and you have the power to create the life and business of your dreams. You must find the place inside of you where everything is possible.
you are amazing, exactly as you are.
You were put on this earth with a unique voice, talent, and gift that nobody else has or will ever possess.
whatever your gift is, nobody can do it quite like you.
The truth is, there are millions of other women in the world, and many of them are going to have careers and businesses similar to yours. But the key word is similar.
Nobody can replicate the genius that you possess.
limitless luxe. When we are in a space of limitless luxe, we understand that our desires should be boundless, and they can all happen for us—no matter how big we perceive those desires to be.
We have to undo our programmed thinking that we cannot have what we want in life, or that we should feel guilty, shameful, or selfish for wanting everything.
There is absolutely no shame in having desires, and the sooner you own them, the soon...

other people’s version of “reality” is just that—their version.
It is reflective of their experiences, their fears, and their set of beliefs. Your reality is yours and yours alone. And it should be as fabulous as you want it to be.
One is not better than the other. You are worthy of every desire in your heart, and nobody’s reality should affect your own.
the universe is more abundant than you can imagine.
You’ve got to believe, with all your heart, that you can make it happen for yourself. You must believe you are worthy of your desires and that you have all the tools within you to achieve success. You must release blame, guilt, fear, stress, and any other negative emotion that does not serve you.
You must envision your world through the eyes of positivity and possibility. The moment you do that, you open up a world of endless abundance.
Embrace your journey and look for the lessons. Believe in divine timing, and know that what is meant for you will not pass you.
When you believe that there’s enough to go around, why wouldn’t you want to celebrate someone else’s success?
so much noise out there about all the different ways to achieve success.
while there is lots of great advice out there, I’m going to share with you the missing link in all of this: you have got to be authentic.
you do something that nobody else in this world can do. Even if you are one of millions of women who bear the same title, or have the same business model, you will still do what you do in a way that no other person ever will—or ever has.
Getting into a mind-set where you can truly trust your own brilliance is paramount.
Trusting your own brilliance means believing in your own voice, in your own story, in the power of your words, in your instincts, and in your passion....

That decision shaped the course of my life and my career, and there was absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
stop being who you think you should be and start being who you truly are.
We live in a world where you can literally spend an entire day in Comparisonville.
when we start looking around at others, we strip away our own brilliance, creativity, and drive.
There is so much genius within your heart and soul, but you’ve got to allow yourself the time and space to honor it.
you never know whose life you can change by sharing your story and your authentic self.
There is no roadmap, there is no guarantee, and by imitating someone else’s work, you are simply wasting everyone’s time—especially your own.
Being real is sexy. Honesty is magnetic. We are attracted to things that feel natural, not forced.
I identified a unique market: passionate, creative, talented, professional women who were in desperate need of someone to help them make major mind-set shifts around issues like fear, insecurity, and confidence, and learn how to celebrate themselves exactly as they are.
Our champagne glasses are overflowing, if you will. Nobody can be thirsty when there is so much sparkle to go around!
when we learn to move forward despite our fears, we become unstoppable.
Fear wears many different outfits—and not one of them is cute.
interrupt your fear with gratitude.
