Find space for solitude. This task is admittedly difficult for anyone without an office door, yet there are ways to do it. If you do have an office door, have the courage to close it when you have reason to; that’s what the door is for. If your workplace has a library, find reasons to go there; like a medieval church, its walls protect a culture often absent outside.
