Now, for a change we were being told to ‘throw characterization out of the window’ and perform each action as ourselves, the attempt being to help us understand our own behaviour and reflexes. More importantly, it began to become clear that when you enter a scene, you are coming from somewhere to somewhere else and unless you know where and why in both cases all you will manage is to attempt a ‘great entry’, the very narcissistic trap I had fallen into and made a habit of.
