Customs. Madeira is part of the EU, but has separate duty-free status within Portugal. You can import the following amounts duty-free: 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250g of tobacco; 1 litre of spirits; 2 litres of wine; 50g of perfume and 250ml of eau de toilette.
