IQ is no longer looked on as the #1 magic bullet to a life of success. Many other factors are necessary in order to be someone who makes a difference during their lifetime.
“The present is theirs; the future for which I really worked, is mine.” —Nikola Tesla
Nikola Tesla was born in Europe, in modern-day Croatia, in the small village of Smiljian. Tesla was born on July 10, 1856.
From a very early age, Nikola Tesla could memorize entire books and mathematical tables that utterly befuddled those around him. He was able to learn new languages easily and never needed much sleep.
Immediately Tesla was hired by Thomas Edison to work at his Edison Machine Works on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
“If Edison had a needle to find in a haystack, he would proceed at once with the diligence of the bee to examine straw after straw until he found the object of his search. I was a sorry witness of such doing that a little theory and calculation would have saved him ninety percent of his labor.” —Nikola Tesla
“Many people die at 25 and aren't buried until 75.” —Benjamin Franklin
“The successful person makes a habit of doing what the failing person doesn't like to do.” —Thomas Edison
“I am even grateful to Einstein and others because through their erroneous theories they lead mankind away from that dangerous path I followed.” —Nikola Tesla
“Seldom did one meet a scientist or engineer, who was also a poet, a philosopher, an appreciator of fine music, a linguist, and a connoisseur of fine food and drink.” – Julian Hawthorne
They really are not too concerned with the world they are living in because they are too busy inventing a new world.
“Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.” —Albert Einstein
Upon his death, the FBI had all of Tesla's belongings seized, even though he was an American citizen. Everything was thoroughly scrutinized by one John G. Trump, uncle of Donald J. Trump, 45th president of the United States. The public was told that there were rumors that Tesla had invented a death ray and the government didn't want the information to pass into enemy hands.
“The world will wait a long time for Nikola Tesla's equal in achievement and imagination.” —E. Armstrong
“Thousands of geniuses live and die undiscovered – either by themselves or by others.” —Mark Twain
“He was the first to be thinking about the information revolution in the sense of delivering information for each individual user.” —W. Bernard Carlson
Lastly, Tesla was born during a lightning storm. It was at the moment of his birth that the midwife wrung her hands and declared to his family that this was a bad omen. She told them “this child will be a child of darkness.” Tesla's mother immediately replied, “No, he will be a child of light.”
