The Cows

I log in. So many status updates, so much sharing. People with new jobs, people losing weight, people having babies. Some are angry at the government; others are cracking jokes. I wouldn’t know what to write, even if I did break my Facebook silence. What would I say?

When I’m feeling sad, and I really need to cry, this is the first place I come (after the wine).

‘Shit though, isn’t it, that because she’d said she didn’t want kids she was held accountable. Like if she had changed her mind, and did want to have them, that would have been completely unacceptable. I’d hate to be a woman.’

The world flips and changes constantly; the best we can do is remain ourselves.
