Listening is not reading. There is value in listening, but listening uses and hones different skills from reading.
Monologic and Dialogic Questions
Dialogic questions, on the other hand, are questions that may not have quick and easy answers, but are usually much more discussable.
Dialogic questions offer us the chance to teach kids to look for evidence and provide reasons, but they seldom give us the opportunity to label answers right or wrong.
