And since human beings cannot actually live without some sort of god—some sort of ultimate reality—the fool makes something else god, often himself. But this leads to a shallow and dangerous view of the world. Worship brings us to the real truth about the world, its original intention and its ultimate meaning, and our responsibility in it.
