The brand of hospitality we’ve encountered is a strange, seemingly contradictory mix of mind-your-own-business and bend-over-backwards-to-help, but somehow it works!
The speaker showed a video of an undulating flock of birds, moving almost as one being. He pointed out that a human being could also be thought of as a flock of cells.
So far these small-town bars have been predominantly populated with older men in their sixties and seventies, almost always wearing baseball caps or cowboy hats. Makes you wonder how many of these towns will be able to sustain gathering places in ten years.
