So is Dalio a brilliant visionary or an Orwellian autocrat? It depends on whom you ask. Though I certainly don’t disagree with his unflinching commitment to the truth, my view is that Bridgewater’s methods may be unnecessarily costly, and that most teams can achieve a feedback-rich environment without such extreme measures.
