I never told anyone what we did when we ran off with Jude. When we were little, we would stand on crates and peek into his father's bedroom window and watch him having relations with his seven wives. Sometimes he'd have them lay side by side on the bed and go down the row with each of them until he'd finally stiffen on top of one of them and groan like an animal. The women laid there like dead bodies not moving or speaking or doing anything.
