As we walk in the world ministering as a priest of God, we get dirty spiritually…we sin. This sin breaks our fellowship with God. Instead of going back to the Altar to be born again and again and again and again, we go to the Laver. When we go to the Laver, we don’t have to be washed all over again. We only have to wash our hands and feet, which represents our service to God and our walk with God—that part of our soul that needs to be sanctified. This means that our soul need to be saved or renewed every day.
