Witness teenagers and their parents are conditioned at every turn to think of college and university as nothing more than worthless distractions threatening untold danger and risks. Those who pursue higher education, unless with the aim of better serving “Jehovah’s organization” (with its “divine education” alternative) are considered foolish and misguided—especially since the end is claimed to be so very close.
