judgment toward it. From another perspective, I also understood my anger to be due to not receiving unconditional love in my childhood. This is not because my parents were unloving. On the contrary, I have wonderful and very loving parents. But the reality is that none of us received unconditional love as children because we were all raised by parents who were lost in the role of their physical selves and therefore unconsciously acting out of fear rather than true love much of the time. In addition to this, physical reality, by its very nature, cannot be unconditionally supportive. Parents cannot possibly respond to every single need of a child instantaneously and, on an emotional level, each unmet need results in strong emotions becoming trapped in the very cellular structure of the growing child. When this is also added to the fact that we all come into each incarnation with the soul memory of many previous lifetimes and all the pain and suffering that they entailed, it’s not surprising that anger is a common denominator among so many people. And if it’s not anger, then it’s some other limiting emotion that we judge as bad and shameful, and want so desperately to get rid of.
