You only have to look at Mark Zuckerberg’s early lawsuits—and settlements—to see how ugly and often these things go down. You’re going to need to have a great lawyer, have clearly defined deals, and be selective about the people you partner with. Even when you do all of those things, you’re still gonna have people try to screw you. It’s the nature of money, power, and, most of all, shares in companies.
