Since the Boomers’ ascension to power, America has accomplished far too little, and in many important ways, has slid backward. A “more perfect Union” is hard to measure, but the economy and the well-being of the middle class are not. These latter items can be reduced to numbers, and what the numbers show is not reassuring.
