Michael Ausiello February 6, 2015 • It’s with a heavy, broken heart that I tell you that Kit passed away late last night. He died much the way he lived through this grueling 11-month ordeal—on his own terms: He went peacefully at home (per his wishes), with me and his parents (and Mister Scooch) by his side. And he fought like a champ until he took his final breath. It’s true what they say about grief coming in waves. I’m alternating between sadness, shock, numbness, relief.
