We want power. Christ claims that without him we can do nothing. We want to win. Christ offers the cross. We want to do big things. Christ waits for us to be faithful with little things. The whole enterprise runs contrary to our sensibilities. So what does it mean to lead and “succeed” in ministry? It means to serve.
