Record your voice as you talk about your passion in life. When you listen to your own words, do you hear the enthusiasm, the clarity, the emotion that you feel for your subject? We spend a lot of time developing the expertise to be great parents or professionals or entrepreneurs or artists, and the fact is that if we want to put our talents into the world, we have to spend time developing the voices that will communicate what we know, instead of shortchanging our talents. I don’t have any problem persuading singers to sing or to practice imitating sounds they admire. Singing is what they love.
