“You’re really here.” I couldn’t seem to stop saying that to them. “As long as you want me,” he whispered back to me, his voice had that silky note to it. I was crying again. “Is this why you expect people to leave you?” I bit my lip before answering. “After they find out, they leave.” My voice was a bit steadier but still shaky. “Not anymore.”
