Shouldn't he be level 2 about now? Spent a week hunting rabbits to feed himself and the fairy, so that's 2 rabbits per night for dinner. Throw in another 2 for lunch or breakfast per day. 28 rabbits.
But then the first lvl 1 rabbit we see him kill doesn't give XP for some reason. Which doesn't make sense in any game or other book, killing something your own level always gives XP.
So unless creatures of the same level don't give XP we have to assume it was a mistake.
So since the lvl 3 rabbit gave 15XP a lvl 1 rabbit should give 5XP. 28x5=140 just from the week of lvl 1 rabbits. Plus all the experience for the first rabbit, then the lvl 3 rabbit, then the quests... Experience to get to lvl 2 is 100XP.
So he should be well over lvl 2 by now.
